It is a client-server method of sharing MS Excel spreadsheets over any distance using a local Intranet or Internet. An ECHO network consists of one server and any number of clients, from the users' point of view the shared spreadsheets appear to be opened locally but in fact they are shared over the entire network and can be accessed by all users at the same time (they are not locked and can be opened, edited or saved at any time and by any user).
